I have learned so much from exploring Hard Quirk - before I visited the site, I had a vague idea of what OCD is and the various ways that it impacts the lives of those effected by it. I don’t have OCD; it’s not something I think about, aside from the occasional times I see it (usually) poorly portrayed in media. But getting to read stories by, and hear quotes from, those living with this every day has completely changed my perception and opened my eyes to the reality that is OCD.
I think that creating this level of awareness among those of us who do not have OCD will help not only eradicate the stigma surrounding it, but enable us to be better friends, family members, partners, coworkers, etc., to those who do.
Incredible insight- thanks for your willingness to share. We deeply hope to emphasize the experiences of the supporting community and bring supporters into the circle of OCD recovery.
